Situated in the Bumthang city centre, this little cafe offers both western and local cuisine. We visited for a tea break and ordered the local beef momo (dumpling), a latte and lemon tea. A nice little place to hang out and rest.

Cafe Perks is a cozy, simply decorated café-restaurant tucked inside a traditional stone building in Bumthang. The warm wooden interior, checkered tablecloths, and subtle local touches make it an inviting place for a relaxed lunch. The menu is small but well-curated, offering just enough variety—like buckwheat noodles, rice bowls, and regional specialties—to enjoy a satisfying, flavorful meal. And good news for coffee lovers: the espresso is surprisingly decent, which is always a plus in Bhutan.

Absolutely awesome and spot on coffee … after not getting good coffee in Trashigang for 3 days… this place gave me exactly that!! Freshly brewed cappuccino … and just delicious warm apple pie… not many choices for lunch. But They are Focused on getting the best CAFE experiences and I love that.

An unexpected cafe in a very small place is a delight and that too one having soy milk. Considering it's a very small place in Bhutan the cake, cappuccino and ginger tea were all very good. The staff was very nice

Unfortunately the power was out when we got there, so we could not get a coffee drink here. The drinks we had were quite good, the veg momos were excellent, the chicken not so. The atmosphere and location is great for such a small town

Sweet little cafe with great coffee and service. They have normal fresh cow milk and the coffee is good. I ordered a flat white and hubby ordered a cappuccino. I am lactose intolerant but find when having small quantities its manageable. Only realized after that they had lactose free soy milk

Great flavours, especially for Bhutan where the dishes can often be bland. We had the banana milkshake, iced mocha frappe, momos and some local Bumthang dishes and would recommend them all!
